Oxford/Marburg gewinnt Brüder Grimm Cup, Streitkultur gewinnt die DDLIm Finale des Brüder Grimm Cups 2021 konnte sich das Team Zerstörer und Kaninchenbaby (Kai Kortus, Jonas Frey; Marburg/Oxford) aus der Schließenden Regierung durchsetzen. Sie besiegten die Eröffnende Regierung Münster Bongcloud (Paul Schmitz, Johannes Meiborg), die Eröffnende Opposition Sozialer Abstieg bleibt möglich (Maximilian Meybauer, Georg Maxton; Hamburg) und die Schließende Opposition Die reitzenden Steine (Julius Steen, Tim Reitze; Rederei). Das Thema der Debatte lautete: "Dieses Haus glaubt, dass Sportwettbewerbe zwischen Nationen mehr schaden als nützen". They debated the final on the motion "This House opposes the propagation of Canadian exceptionalism" against Harvard CH (John Hunt, Sophia Caldera) in Opening Government, Yale AC (William Arnesen, Ko Lyn Cheang) in Closing Government, and Cornell KW (Jin Mo Koo, Emma Rose Wirshing) in Closing Opposition. WUDC 2018 - The BreakOnce again the anglophone World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) took place during the turn of the year. This year's location was Mexico City. The tournament started the 27.12.17 and ended the 04.01.18. After nine preliminary rounds the teams breaking to the outrounds were announced on New Year's Eve. At the WUDC, teams participate classified as one of three language categories: EPL (English as a Proficient Language), ESL (English as a Second Language) and EFL (English as a Foreign Language). Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt once again honorary patron of ZEIT DEBATTEN seriesHelmut Schmidt took over patronage of the 2010/11 ZEIT DEBATTEN series. Now honorary patron for four years in a row, the former German chancellor and today’s editor of the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT leads the major German ZEIT DEBATTEN debating series into its tenth year of existence. Convener of the series is the Association of Debating Societies at Universities (VDCH). ZEIT DEBATTE Tübingen: Anmeldung eröffnet

Die Anmeldung zur ZEIT DEBATTE Tübingen 2010 ist eröffnet. Das Turnier wird von 14. bis 16. Mai in Tübingen ausgetragen. Philipp Stiel und Anna Mattes vom VDCH-Club Streitkultur Tübingen, der das Turnier organisiert, baten am Osterwochenende alle VDCH-Clubs, bis 18. April die Anzahl der für das Turnier gewünschten Teams via E-Mail an philipp.stiel[at]streitkultur.net mitzuteilen. Dabei soll der Betreff "Anmeldung ZEIT DEBATTE Tübingen" angegeben werden. Bei dem Turnier können 27 Teams starten. Jeder VDCH-Club erhält zunächst einen Startplatz. Sollten sich mehr als 27 Clubs anmelden, so erhalten die ersten 27 Clubs den Zuschlag.
