DAPDI 2014 - one week of debate training in RotterdamFrom the 21st until the 25th of July, the Erasmus Debate Society (EDS) invites debaters from all over the World to join DAPDI 2014, the annual debate training camp held in Rotterdam. The training week is meant to give beginners as well as advanced debaters training for the European Debating Championship 2014 in Zagreb an opportunity to improve their skills. Leiden wins Jacobs open 2011

Becky West and Rogier Baart from the Leiden Debating Union won the Jacobs Open 2011. Their team Stop trying to make 'fetch' happen as Opening Opposition defeated three other teams from the Netherlands: Jeroen Heun and Daniël Springer (Erasmus Rotterdam), Setry Rabejaona and Liva Andersone (Erasmus Rotterdam) and Danique van Koppenhagen and Tomas Beerthuis (Utrecht Debating Society). Stuttgart breaks at DAPDI – and leaves before breaking rounds

Nils Haneklaus and Michael Saliba (both from the debate club Debattierclub Stuttgart) made the break at the DAPDI (Dutch Anglo-Saxon Parliamentary Debating Institute) in Rotterdam – but left the venue before the final rounds took place in order to participate at the Tilbury House Sommer Open.  The DAPDI takes place in Rotterdam every year. Unschlagbare Niederländer: Rotterdam und Utrecht gewinnen beim Berlin IV

Teams der Erasmus Debating Society Rotterdam und der UCU Debating Union Utrecht haben die beiden Finals des Berlin IV gewonnen. 48 BPS-Teams traten am Wochenende vom 23. bis 25. April beim Humboldt Berlin IV der Berlin Debating Union an. Besonders viele Deutsche nutzten die kurzen und schnellen Anfahrtswege um internationale Luft zu schnuppern und Berlin zu erleben. Einige Teams hatten allerdings weit längere Wege zurückzulegen und vertraten beispielsweise die Niederlande, Serbien, England und Israel. Dass doch einige Teams gerade von den Britischen Inseln wegen des Flugchaos' absagen mussten, gelangte den meisten der angereisten Debattanten allerdings zum Vorteil. DAPDI 2010 – Debattiertrainingscamp in Rotterdam

Die Erasmus Debating Society Rotterdam kündigt das "DAPDI 2010" an - zum 22. Mal bereits wird das ""Dutch Anglo-Saxon Parliamentary Debating Institute" veranstaltet. Von 5. bis 9. Juli verspricht das DAPDI eine herausragende Vorbereitung auf die Euros zu sein (zwischen DAPDI und EUDC passt bequem noch das Tilbury House Summer Open in Köln). Drei Tage lang werden Debattierkurse von namhaften und erfolgreichen Debattanten gegeben, ein zweitägiges Turnier schließt sich an. Die Debattanten werden in Gruppen von acht bis zwölf etwa leistungsgleichen Teilnehmern unterrichtet - es ist also für Anfänger ein eben so lohnendes Unterfangen, am DAPDI 2010 teilzunehmen ...
