Prof. Wulf on law debates
"Ein guter Jurist muss deutsch sprechen, nicht juristendeutsch!" - Roughly speaking, good legal practitioners need to know a language everybody understands. This is a claim by Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Wulf who works at the ministery of law in the German state of Baden Wurttemberg, he also is an honorary professor at the University of Tubingen. Some years ago, he established soft skill courses dealing with law debates, something which is neglected in German jurisprudence curricula. Streitkultur-Cup 2011: The final break
The break of Streitkultur-Cup is here: The first team to break in Tübingen is Heidelberg Debating A (Sven Hirschfeld, Daniel Sommer, Franzi Kriegelstein), the second is Streitkultur Pheme (Peter Croonenbroeck, Anne Suffel, Jonathan Spanos). Free speakers breaking: Philipp Stiel, Lukas Windhager and Dominic Hildebrand.
The top-of-the-tab team Xavers Zamperl from Munich (Franziska Schuster-Städter, Almut Graebsch, Jan-Felix Schneider)were not eligible to break since the broke something else: the pro-am rule. The fresher in the team must not have started debating before September 2011.

Debattengeeigneter Gerichts- und Verhandlungssaal eingeweiht
Die Streitkultur Tübingen weihte am Donnerstag, 10. Juni, einen Gerichts- und Verhandlungssaal an der Eberhard-Karls-Universität mit einer Deklamation und einer Debatte ein. Für den Verhandlungssaal zeichnet das Streitkultur-Ehrenmitglied Rüdiger Wulf, Juraprofessor an der Tübinger Uni, verantwortlich. Und standesgemäß für ein Mitglied des ältesten Debattierclub Deutschlands setzte sich Wulf dafür ein, dass der Saal nicht nur für Gerichtsverhandlungen taugt, sondern auch debattengeeignet ist. Wie Wulf als Mitglied der Ehrenjury bei der Tübinger ZEIT DEBATTE im Mai angekündigt hatte, spielte die Streitkultur eine wichtige Rolle bei der Eröffnung des neuen Übungssaals für Juristen und Debattanten.
