Debating at WUDC 2015: The VDCH-Teams Yesterday the 35th World University Debating Championships were officially started by the grand Opening Ceremony. The German speaking debating circuit is represented by a strong delegation this year. Seven members of the VDCH – the Association of German Speaking University Debating Societies are comprised of ten teams and ten adjudicators. Israeli Team wins the 2nd European Debates ConferenceDan Lahav and Yair Har-Oz won the Tilbury House IV - the 2nd European Debates Conference. Between September 8 and 11 2013 BGU carried out the Red Sea Open for the fourth time. Heidelberg, Berlin and Mainz are Regional Champions 2012

We proudly present the winners of this year’s German regionals: Heidelberg won the Southern German regional. Berlin won the Northern German regional. Mainz won the Middle German regional. Congrats to everyone! In the South, Wiebke Nadler und Till Kroeger from Debating Club Heidelberg defeated Teams from Munich an Vienna. Jakob Reiter (Debattierklub Wien) was awarded most popular speaker of the final; Sven Hirschfeld (Heidelberg) and Konrad Gütschow (Tübingen) topped the tab. Vienna Debating Workshop lockte Debattierer aus 14 Nationen nach WienDie Europäischen Debattiermeisterschaften (EUDC) in Amsterdam stehen kurz bevor, gute Vorbereitung ist nun also Gold wert.
