Ateneo wins Malaysia ABPThe winners of the Asian British Parliamentary Championship 2020 in Malaysia are Ateneo 1 (Mikko Vitug, Ignaceo Villareal). They won the grand final out of Closing Opposition, speaking against  UPD 2 (Alia Yao, Clarice Tee) in Opening Government, NUS 1 (Tao En Qi, Shaun Lee) in Opening Opposition), and Taylor's 1 (Har Naveenjeet Singh, Ploopy) in Closing Government. The final was chaired by Piali Bopanno. Judging with them were Boby Andika Ruitang, Connor O'Brien, Dominic, EnTing Lee, Erica Liu, Fardeen Ameen, Taha Iqbal, Udai Kamanth. CAs for German Debating Championship 2011 announced

The Debating Club Heidelberg announced the German Debating Championship's complete CA team.  Former VDCH-president and Western German Champion of 2008 Tim Richter from the Debattierclub Bonn will join the already announced Chief adjudicators Gudrun Lux (Debattierclub Bonn), Jan Lüken (WFI Debattierclub Ingolstadt) and Marcus Ewald (DCJG Mainz). The German debating Championship will be staged in Heidelberg from 9 to 12 June 2011. Format will be OPD, the open parliamentary debate widely spread in the German speaking debating circuit. Review on BaWü 2010 Heidelberg is going to be stage to the German Debating Championship (DDM) 2011, so many debaters in Germany see the Baden-Württembergian Open (BaWü) 2010 as a kind of dress rehearsal for DDM 2011. But superstitious minds in Germany have it that traditionally the dress rehearsal has to be a terrible disaster – if the real event shall be fine. Baden-Württemberg is looking for her debating champion

For the Baden-Württembergian Championship (BaWü), teams from Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Tübingen and Stuttgart flock to Heidelberg. But since BaWü is an open competition, teams from Bayreuth, Frankfurt/Main, Göttingen, Jena, Mainz, München and St. Gallen followed the invitation of Debating Club Heidelberg (DCH) - 21 teams are going to be fighting for the championship. Professors let lower down the train station – Third Ilmenau campus debate

The professors claimed the victory of the show debate organized by the Wortkombinat Ilmenau on Tuesday, 2nd November. The audience decided upon the winners and the losers. About 60 guests enjoyed the debate in Wartburg style and gave their vote through thunderous applause. Europa an erster Stelle - Zum fünften Mal lud der Debating Club Heidelberg zur SchulmeisterschaftBereits zum fünften Mal veranstaltete der Debating Club Heidelberg (DCH) am vergangenen Montag die Schulmeisterschaft im Debattieren der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar. In diesem Jahr traten Schülerinnen und Schüler im Alter von 15 bis 18 Jahren des Helmholtz Gymnasiums Heidelberg, des Johann Sebastian Bach Gymnasiums Mannheim, und des Theodor Heuss Gymnasiums Ludwigshafen, gegeneinander an. Der Debating Club Heidelberg hat einen neuen Vorstand

Drei junge Frauen stehen dem Debating Club Heidelberg (DCH) seit 27. April vor. Die Mitgliederversammung des Vereins wählte die bisherige stellvertretende Vorsitzende Maike Jung zur Ersten Vorsitzenden. An ihrer Seite steht zukünftig die frischgebackene Süddeutsche Vizemeisterin Kristina Seebacher als Zweite Vorsitzende. Gemeinsam mit ihnen wird Jennifer Holm als Schatzmeisterin den Club leiten. Der DCH dankte den scheidenden Vorstandsmitgliedern Yin Cai und Stefan Bräumer für ihre hervorragende Arbeit im vergangenen Jahr. Dem neuen Vorstand herzlichen Glückwunsch! Viel Erfolg bei der Arbeit für den DCH, die Baden-Württembergische Meisterschaft 2010 und das Debattieren!
