The University College Cork (UCC) in Irland has announced their bid to host the European Universities Debating Championship (EUDC) 2016. The College already hosted the EUDC 2005 as well as the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) in 1996 and 2009. The Euros are planned to be jointly organised by the two Debating Societies at the University College Cork, the Law Society and the Philosophical Society.
