Ecology, economy, or maybe employment? European Debates in Rotterdam

(c) Bürger EuropasThe Erasmus Debating Society (EDS) of Rotterdam hosted a public debate on the question: “Should we always put ecology before economic growth?” on the 14th of May, a week before the Netherlands will go to the voting booths for the European Parliament elections. Partij van de Arbeid (Labour) candidate for the European Parliament Gerard Oosterwijk and EDS member Sezen de Bruijn presented the proposition case, while the d’66 (Liberal) candidate Paul Breitbarth and EDS member Daniel Fayoyin argued for the opposition side. DAPDI – The Debating Summer School

DAPDI - The Debating Summer SchoolDAPDI is an international training week for debaters from all over the globe. The world’s finest debaters and trainers (most commonly represented in the same person) from Oxford university come to Rotterdam to teach eager debaters the skills that are necessary to become debating champions. The last two days of DAPDI consist of a tournament, organized and judged by these tutors. The registration for DAPDI 2013 is now open. More Information can be found on there website. When?
