The western border area of Germany is socializing internationally: On the evening of 24 March a group of debaters and adjudicators from Debattierclub Aachen will drive to Maastricht, to compete with the Dutch colleagues from Universalis Debate at the University College Maastricht. It is a friendship debate which will be held in English in British Parliamentary Style.

Aachen is situated just half an hour away by car from Maastricht, so the debaters from the German side hope that in the future there will be more debates of this kind. So the debaters could easily gain international experience in debating also during the week.

Universalis is the student association of University College Maastricht, which contributes to both academic and social life at the university. The association organizes debates, poetry readings and movie nights, but also parties and publishes a periodical and the yearbook of the uni. For new students Universalis organizes introductory activities.
