The final night will introduce a great lot of Scottish tradition to you: Convenor Ross Mitchell promises a three course dinner, a “ceilidh” and buckets of “yakka”. Ceilidh is a traditional Gaelic get-together with playing folk music and dancing. Yakka, on the other hand, is a kind of cocktail usually served in a bin. It involves great amounts and the fermentation of vodka and limes plus lots of ice cubes.
On top of that, the Scottish guarantee meals, crash for all, prizes for the top speaker and the winner of the final. The registration fees are 45 British Pound or 35 Pound for non-British teams respectively. More detailed information is available on the Facebook page of the Glasgow University Ancients.
