Jan Lüken now president of VDCH / Benedikt Nufer, Marcus Ewald and Esther Reinert his deputies
The general assembly of VDCH (the Association of Debating Societies at Universities) elected a new president and his deputies: Jan Lüken, Benedikt Nufer, Marcus Ewald and Esther Reinert constitute the new VDCH executive board. Achte Minute presents a first introduction:
Jan Lüken, now president of VDCH, first studied macroeconomics and political science at Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg. There, he was a member of Debating Club Heidelberg. The now 28 years old works on his Ph.D. thesis in finance at Catholic University Eichstätt Ingolstadt where he attends Ingolstadt’s WFI debating society.
Benedikt Nufer was elected VDCH vice president. For the forthcoming year, he will be in charge of the German debating tournament series ZEIT DEBATTEN. At the same time, he is vice president of the debating society at Hamburg University where the 30 years old works on his Ph.D. thesis in history.
Marcus Ewald studied economics at Martin Luther University of Halle where he was a member of debating society Klartext. Marcus, 27, now does his master in communications studies at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz where he was warmly welcomed at the local debating society DCJG.
Esther Reinert studied at Münster University before she switched to Cologne University where the 23 years old continues to study English and Catholic Religious Education. She is now a member of the debating society Tilbury House Cologne. Additionally, the general assembly appointed her bursar of VDCH.
