From the 14th to the 15th November 2014, Molly McParland and Jamie Jackson of the Oxford Union will organise the annual Oxford IV in England. For international participants, the tournament offers a program already starting on Thursday the 13th November. The program comprises the Oxford Union Debate and an International Social on Thursday evening as well as a tour of Oxford and debating workshops on Friday.

The tournament will feature five preliminary rounds with seven minute speeches, quarter- and semi-finals and a final. There will also be semi-finals and a final for speakers with English as a Second Language (ESL) as well as a novice final and a prize for the best novice speaker. According to information on the website of the Oxford IV, the team cap is 140 teams. The n-1 rule for judges applies to all teams from the IONA circuit (islands of the North Atlantic), foreign teams are exempted from the rule.

Chief Adjudicators (CAs) of the tournament will be Emilia Carlqvist, present European ESL champion, and Deputy Chief Adjudicator for the 2015 European Universities Debating Championships (EUDC or Euros) in Vienna; Colin Etnire, judge at the grand finals of both World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC or Worlds) and EUDC and CA of the North American Debating Championship; Natasha Rachman, Euros finalist and semi-finalist of two Worlds; Christine Simpson, EUDC finalist and CA of the Vienna EUDC 2015; and Assistant CA Fergus Peace, CA of the International Competition for Young Debaters.

The price for the tournament will be £100 per team for the international package and £85 per team for the IONA package. Registration as an independent adjudicator costs £45. Accommodation will be crash.
